Archway thefts

Just outside the area I know, but according to Islington Gazette - http://www.islingtongazette.co.uk/news/crime-court/archway-suffers-series-of-violent-muggings-as-neighbours-bemoan-police-cuts-1-5405243 there has been a recent escalation in muggings in the Archway area, with perpetrators becoming more brazen of late, and people being targeted on side streets in the area as well as the vicinity of the tube station.

Following people from the station to side roads apparently, not good.

Although FP still has more robberies (muggings?) anyway according to that article, i wonder if that includes the thefts at \ inside the festivals.

This is well worth watching - a moped thief describes how he identifies you as a target and shows how easy it is to steal a phone from someone who is fannying about with their phone and unaware of what is going on around them.

A colleague's son was mugged in Archway late last year. The muggers walked up to him and punched him in the face before marching him to a cash point. This was at ten in the morning. I was also the victim of an attempted moped mugging but luckily I saw them coming and was able to stop them snatching my phone.
