Sunday 18th August, 10-2:30
Stroud Green School, Perth rd, opposite the faltering fullback
www.stroudgreenmarket.com/thisweek
Hi everyone,
This is our final market in August so please come and enjoy the last of the summer wine! In fact it'd be more appropriate to say the last of the spring honey: Timothy will be harvesting the latest crop next week which might keep him away from the markets for a little while.
Our wonderful new street food stall is called Que Que: Zakiya specialises in empanadas with different fillings. These make for a dangerously delicious snack as there doesn't seem to be any harm in eating 5 rather than 4, or 10 instead of 9...they are deep fried to order and I have to say that however many you do end up eating, is infinitely better than missing out altogether.
One more note about the small organic farm run by Shumei Natural Agriculture. This week Shimo has promised the most flavoursome tomatoes, chillies, potatoes, onions, spicy salad leaves, swiss chard and other summer veggies. If you've ever grown your own you'll know how good these things can be - but Shumei's might just be even better. Do try it anyway!
See you all on Sunday...
