Gathering evidence for an LTN - Decentralised Air Quality Monitoring
Hi everyone, I've become pretty annoyed by the sheer level of through traffic around here, so I setup an air quality monitor (on my balcony) on Oakfield road. The data is available in the link, further down the post.
I bought a monitor via Planetwatch, they run a decentralised air quality monitoring network.
You can buy a monitor, install it, and the results are Fed into a global map. [Air Quality Map](https://map.planetwatch.io/map/) for those working on the LTN in our neighbourhood, please have a look periodically at the data for our location, as I suspect that at rush hour during the week, we'll be close to the legal limits.
It's still early days and the company are just building up the network which runs nodes all across Europe (there are a few in London). In return for running one, they send you some tokens which will be redeemable for money in the future.
This runs off the Algorand Blockchain, which is a carbon-neutral blockchain.
