Yeah, from the proposal it says "the food store’s rear service yard will be enclosed", so it the flats at the rear and the "new internal courtyard" will be build on top of that space.

If you compare the site plan shown on image 8 on the website (titled "Urban Greening"), to the aerial picture of the existing site (image 3, "Site Background"), you can match up where the existing access disappears under the development (at the very top left on the site plan).
