Local community is rallying to stop a 100 year old plane tree being cut down in Oakfield Road.
It's the front line in a campaign to stop what is in effect an insurance company scam.
They implicate trees in subsidence claims and then blame councils, who have to remove the trees.
In this case, one resident is fighting the case at the ombudsman, but Haringey Council have put up a notice to quit before that case is settled, and are seeking a court order BEFORE a long-awaited public meeting.
18 trees are under threat in Oakfield Road alone, 33 across Stroud Green, and around 200 in Haringey.
Volunteers are guarding the tree in a rota, and people stay overnight in the amazing comfortable hammock (after free training with safety equipment etc.). More volunteers are needed and folk are urged to attend the meeting next Thursday.

They've also issued a Notice To Quit and are applying for a Court Order BEFORE the meeting.
Please spread the word and attend - this cannot be allowed to pass.
