Police Ward public meeting on drugs in Stroud Green 7th Oct
Police have called a public meeting about drugs and anti social behaviour for next Friday 7th October at 6.30pm in Holy Trinity Church, Stapleton Hall Road. As far as I know anybody living (or working?) in Stroud Green Ward is invited to attend and both police and hopefully ward councillors will be there - under discussion will be the wave of street dealing, the council's conversion of Osborne Grove into a homeless hostel, and possibly Finsbury Park festivals.
TO ATTEND PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE TO Sntyr-stroudgreen@met.police.uk by THIS SATURDAY OCT 1st saying that you will be there.
At least one fatality - possibly two - occurred in Lorne Road over the week end and the circumstances suggest this tragedy was the result of an overdose, although that's entirely a surmise. It happened at an address known to be used for dealing class A drugs. Police haven't responded to a request for further information so it'll be interesting to see how much they are prepared to say next week.
