Friends of Finsbury Park, a charity focused on improving and protecting Finsbury Park invite you to a public meeting.
We believe a public debate is required on the future of the park – how it is funded, safety, its ecology – and major events within it. Through COVID, the park was never better used; in 2022, with the return of major events, and the on-going challenge around safety requires a better discussion with all elements of the community.
We invite you to a community meeting to discuss the Park, its funding, and how it can be improved for better community use.
It will be held on Tuesday 1st November at 7pm till approx. 8.30pm. We are most grateful for the Muslim Welfare House for agreeing to host us, at 233, Seven Sisters Road, N4 2DA.
We have invited local residents, interest groups, councillors, officers and MPs from the 3 boroughs, and hope for a lively debate. We will set out our position, hope that Haringey Council will provide theirs, have a couple of other speakers, and then invite a constructive debate in the room.
We hope we can undertake a constructive debate about the park, and build a better consensus around this critical green space in the urban jungle.
