https://www.subscribepage.io/stroudgreenmarketHello, thank you everyone for reading this newsletter!
Thanks too for welcoming Rebecca aka new kimchi lady last week. She was nervous beforehand - but delighted afterwards by how warm and encouraging everybody was! She is away now for a few weeks on a long-planned visit back to Korea, but in place of the kimchi stall this Sunday there will be a pickling & fermentation workshop run by India of Communi.Table. Most appropriately of all, India will be encouraging the use of leftover English produce - notably brassicas like cauliflower & cabbage - which is exactly what Rebecca does with her Broccoli Stalk Jangaji and other products.
You have to book this in advance, but the "Market Mates Deal" is rather a good one: under £15 for a two-hour session, including a terrific BBQ lunch and a jar of pickles to take home at the end. Either visit
https://www.communitable.org.uk/shop-1/p/april-21st-cookalongbrassica-forest (using the discount code SPRING20) or email india@communitable.org.uk to find out more.
Apart from that: it's pies & potatoes weather! Where would we be without the April showers? Too much sun...yuk.
See you at the market,
Ed
