Haringey Council has a number of proposals it’s put forward concerning streets and parking. Some proposals look really good, but one will affect us in the area quite badly which is the proposal to get rid of daily visitor parking permits and only have hourly. With the all day CPZ on Stroud Green Streets it would mean individually activating 9 individual hourly permits each day you have a workmen or a visitor. So a lot of admin for us as well as a lot more expensive. The council’s understandable rationale is to stop people selling the permits on. But this could equally be tackled by just limiting the amount of daily parking permits we can buy.
The list of proposals can be found here and you can email in any objections. Deadline November 20th.
