Was waiting to see if anyone mentioned this first so as not to scare anyone, but now it has been brought up on the new members thread... Got off the W3 at the top of the hill by the reservoir at about 8.30 last night and 2 police cars pulled up outside a house on Mount View Road. Walked past and two teenagers were crying and saying "he's been shot!". There appeared to be someone lying prone in the doorway with a couple of people trying to help out. Nothing was taped off this morning and nothing on the news so I'm just hoping that it wasn't as bad as it first looked. Any ideas?

Yes, my girlfriend heard the shot. I arrived there at about 10pm, but the police held me behind the cordon til about 10.40pm. Sniffer dog was searching all the gardens for the gun.

Other people waiting behind the cordon didn't seem terribly surprised, the house at which it happened seems to get quite a lot of police attention.

Is the posh end the bit overlooking the reservoir? This was the other side of ferme pk rd, towards granville road. The exciting end, it seems.

Though i am supposed to live in Stapleton Hall the in laws where we spend most of our time is in Mount View' s 'exiting end' , not heard anything about it till now.

Hope my hubby doesn't . After me witnessing the serial mugger strike in Granville he has been trying to put a no going out after dark unless he is with me curfew as it is, which is far from exiting

There have always been loads of kids hanging around the house in question, but I've never had any problems with them at all, so very sad naturally. @ andy - Yes, it is the posh end - the mini-roundabout is particularly luxurious

This must be the house that was mentioned in [Hornsey Journal yesterday](http://www.hornseyjournal.co.uk/content/haringey/hornseyjournal/news/story.aspx?brand=HCEJOnline&category=news&tBrand=northlondon24&tCategory=newshcej&itemid=WeED15 Oct 2008 13:35:19:263). As long as I've lived around here that house has stood out like a sore thumb on leafy Mount View. Often whole contents of rooms dumped outside and shouting and screaming. Entertains me on way past occasionally to see what has been dumped now. I assumed it was a squat. But, shootings are not entertaining. And if they are teenagers that is very sad. Not sure if this is one, as mentioned in newspaper piece as "springing up over Haringey", but what is a bail hostel?

I also though TS was a chap too, in a tanktop with half moon specs and a pipe, and a loudly ticking clock on the mantlepiece and a too fluffy cat around his feet. Now I don't know what to think.

lol @ KJ and Tcat , before causing any more confusion maybe i should admit to very rarely wear socks, but believe cats can never be to fluffy or dogs for that matter

I am confused as do not know what house it is so guess maybe the inlaws do not live on either the posh or exiting bit.

The only thing that i ever witnessed in Mount View that maybe could be considered both posh and exiting was someone in a kilt playing the bagpipes on the corner of Oakfield one new years night .

Phew! Bit of an update via a Met Police flyer that came through the door regarding the incident on 15th Oct: "Officers arrived to find a 17 y/o male with a pellet wound to his shoulder. He was taken by an ambulance to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries, where he later discharged himself." "Two of the residents from the premises concerned have now been moved to other premises outside the borough."

And, to be fair, it has seemed a bit quieter/less exciting round there over the last couple of weeks.

I wonder which borough they went to? Do you think they moved them as far as, say, Islington?

Wowsers! 3 whole firetrucks attending an incident at the 'house' this evening. How long will this teenage travesty-menace blight my life with it's egregious wrongdoing messy shit? Hmmm?
