SOME WORD FROM VENEZIA CUSTOMERS:

THE BEST PIZZA IN LONDON AND UK.

VENEZIA IS SPECIALIST TO MAKE A ORIGINAL PIZZAS.(THIS IS NOT JOCK)
IF VENEZIA WAS IN MILAN ,ITS COULD BE THE BEST PIZZERIA UP THERE.

WE DON'T NEED TO TRAVEL ALL WAY TO ITALY TO TASTE A GOOD PIZZA WHEN WE HAVE VENEZIA HERE.

NOW ,WHAT YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT VENEZIA?(:

    Exit through the gift shop!

Please stop these self promotions. I was thinking of buying pizza from your over priced shop but your self-promotion has put me off.

    Stuff it!

Kreuzkav, get off your (boring) high horse. Medi is the original mental advertiser round these here parts. Our last pizza from Venezia was a bit of a dissapointment to be honest though, seemed overly salty and the chicken wings are not as good as they were a year or so back. £6 for 6small wings is a bit of a rip-off, the wings used to be huge. Still best pizza in SG for my money. Wasn't there talk of a refurbishment of the restaurant?

I have never possessed a high horse. At the moment I'm sitting on a sofa. I just found the post to be a blatant bit of self-publicity, lacking humour. I'm not aware of their previous (possibly humourous posts), but the first post above makes Tolllington Tom's post side splitting.

I don't know anything about the refurbishment
  • @kreuzav just search BEST PIZZA and VENEZIA and go back through the older posts. You will find many more side-splitting examples of the MEDI school of PR.

I was just basing my comments on what I saw above. After returning from a few drinks last night, I found the top post to be very basic and a bit crude. I was a bit confrontational too! Fair enough if he wants to drum up business, and I haven't seen his previous self-publicity, so I'm not a fan. I just thought last night that if all business owners on SGR and around did the same thing it would be quite horrific. Between hairdressers, shops, bars, restaurants and takeaways there must be about fifty business places. The horror......

There should be some kind of device built into all computers and mobile phones that detects the scent of alchohol, and automatically locks the gadget until one has sobered up!
  • edited 4:58AM
@ Miss Annie. Agreed. A breathalyzer that you have to breath into before posting might be a good thing. I still think it was a bit of crude self-publicity, but with cuts at the libararies and riots happening to develop democracy it's fairly low down on the the scale of things to get annoyed at.

Do have a look at some of the old VENEZIA IS BEST threads, they are quite amusing.

I will check those previous post out, but one thing I'd like to raise is this constant attitude on here that people should know about previous posts. I've seen comments criticising people for not being aware of a similar post a few months back. It can come across like a clique club of people in the know.

I think a forum should be open, and that people can drop in and out, find out information, contribute and ciritque. A post should stand on its own.

I have not been there but am interested in their publicity which sounds very exciting and breathless. I have been looking for some where for a Valentine's special meal for me and Dorcas and it sounds quite promising, and pizza is very filling. My brother in law wanted to 'push the boat out' , 'treat the homies' 'bash the credit card' and go somewhere in Islington (why?!) but I think we'll try there and it's close enough to Lorne Road to tempt out the romantics there too. I'm getting quite excited, if only I can find some blasted flowers.

    TT

@kreuzkav I don't think it's people being cliquey at all. It's just a bit dull when people start yet another thread about dentists, doctors, plumbers etc. without checking (via the search box facility which Andy and David have kindly provided above), whether there is already something on the go which might contain stacks of illuminating information for them.

Yes Annie,if it's about plugging a service or finding out about a service, but if someone promotes their service in such a dull way as the first post above should I check out all their previous publicity before commenting. If I read review in Time Out or in The Guardian and then comment should I also make sure to read every review on the go before my views are released.

I still think there's too much of clique on here. People are ganging up at times and it's a bit backward. Reminds me of the weak bullies at school.

Just step this way, would you, sir? Now, if you wouldn't mind blowing into this bag...
  • edited 4:58AM
@ Checkski. Your bag of hot air. When did you get broadband or wifi? Something suspicious about you. Doppleganger?
  • edited 4:58AM
Dial-up, actually. Who do you want to twin me with? Or perhaps you are seeing double?
  • edited 4:58AM
I know your game, and you know I know.

If you want to correct grammar or be pedantic, why don't you go down to the White Lion of Mortimer and correct the geezers there. You won't be so smug and be able to hide behind a screen there.

I know you're one of the regulars on here under a different name.

    Be a man (or woman).
  • edited 4:58AM
    Have it your own way.
  • edited 4:58AM
You're not a 60 year old man with dial up. Keep playing it.
  • edited 4:58AM
I am, actually. Well, 67, to be precise. Male, not female. No doppelganger. Just little old me. On dial-up.

    Time for bed

    good night

@Medi. Please give these two a free pizza voucher so they can perhaps discuss their differences of opinion on or over a Margherita rather than each other and on here.

@Kreuzkav. Like i said before, dead easy to say stuff on a forum, not as easy to have a moan face to face. I find this a useful place to say stupid stuff, sound out ideas/opinions...i really couldn't care less about virtual people...good grief (well i could actually, maybe i'm hurt for a mili-second, and then i totally get the point of a forum). They all exist in real life, but on here its not real. Don't get so worked up. Same goes for Checkski......get a room, the pair of you!

Medi should have gone for Director of Comms @ Number 10.
    MEDI, MEDI, MEDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • edited 4:58AM
It is a debate on here. If Checkski is someone else, fair enough. My life goes on. However, I don't like the bully techniques some use. I'm not going to cry. I've been beaten up and abused in real life and if people want to gang up on me. Big deal. Sticks and stones. It's the net as you say. But I really don't like people who form cliques and online it's a so coward like. Just because I sounded off about a bar (and they were very out of order) doesn't mean it's an issue for ever. I do have a right to an opinion and it's not Eygpt or China where a one party state have control over what should be said.

And Brodiej, you're the one who went mental when I made a joke about the film Black swan. I was purely making a joke about the N1 Centre and Upper St. in islington as I'm very interested in urban planning and architecture. I know it might seem boring to you but I wasn't trying to wind you up. I didn't even know who you were. The thread developed into quite an interesting one about Upper St etc. David and Miss Annie were even able to trace their Romford roots.

Should I just go on about a glee club about some antiques roadshow badge and meeting up for some knitting or darts?
  • edited 4:58AM
@Brodigej, while you might feel you're talking to virtual people. The person is still real but mediated by a computer. So the same respect is in order. That's why I said to Checkski/....... that he/she should go the White Lion and stop hiding behind a screen. I'm sure he/she wouldn't be so cocky.
  • Errrrm. I think checkski and kreuzkav have blown their cover. That is, I think they are one and the same.

The more I think about it, I'm realising this site is actually populated by about four people. FourEyes is really Arkady and Bridget is really Miss Annie and Misscara rolled into one - heaven forfend! And Tollington Tom and Medi are Barky Fox. Oh my God, I think I'm turning into Taff Bach - spare me.

don't buy string theory or multi-universes. It's a baby boomer conspiracy dreamt up by Timothy Leary and his cronies to get laid and earn money.

I am me, whatever me is.

By the way, is Medi some sort of guru as I think everyone loves him on here and I just saw his one boring post at the top of this thread. Has he some sort of mystical power?
  • edited 4:58AM
No wonder he can sell a pizza for 12 quid and people will not question it
