You've got to bite (unless it's a very Sloppy Giseppe). I did used to be a Porchetta fan, and when we moved here it took me a little while to consider Pappagone. But I was fairly evenly split between them until Porchetta had their refurb which I can't stand (and I swear their pizzas shrank). Ever since then I've only had eyes (and a belly) for Pappagone.

I'm unapologetic.
The new one nr the chip shop is good in Tollington park. Less of a chain. Our cooker broke in Lorne rd so have lived in take always for a week. Yings in Hanley rd has gone down. Ordered beef and got home and it was chicken. And rice ratty. Place looks like funeral parlor . Mexican place surprisingly good and lovely bird who served us cheered us up. Spicy in all ways. Black sea kebabs inexpensive but don't like the grease. The Indian take away up from cats very tasty and the man in there is a top bloke. Good indian bread. I could write a book. New cooker coming Saturday thanks to landlady Joyce . Chang
The new La Forchetta isn't going to be a pizzeria, at least judging by the signwriting, which says Cafeteria, Gelateria, Pasticceria, Paninoteca; the awning says Cafeteria Gelateria. Didn't see any mention of pizza.
Yes, it's where the deli used to be, and if it is that chain, it's a totally different format - maybe they're trying out a cafe format? Will see if I can get a look inside next time I go past.
The Forchetta in Farringdon is more of a cafe / sandwich / pasta takeaway place. They had opened up another one in similar format further up the road towards Angel, but that closed down pretty sharpish.
I tried to stop myself but....I can't....I'll bite,

I think Porchetta's pizzas are better than Pappagone's, a bit thinner, a bit crispier, a bit more hold it up and everything will slide off.

I think Pappagone's are very good though. But I'd slip Piccolo Diavolo's in between the two. We are blessed for pizzerias in Stroud Green. Not tried La Favorita yet.

The refurb of Porchetta while a little generic was much needed, as the plaster was falling off the walls and the bare breeze blocks in the old entrance to what is now the back of the Sugar Lounge were no longer a novelty. Service suffered a bit afterwards, but is now back on top and the TV is switched off. Pizzas are plenty big enough, although I do notice size varies.
We tried La Favorita recently and were quite impressed there too, nice to have something different.

Now I'm just imagining what it would be like to eat a pizza stack of Prochetta, Diavolo, Pappagone. Could get very messy......
I tried the %20 thing last night too.

Vanilla must be stripping out the '%20' and spaces and stuff - if you 'edit the source' of a message so it reads like so:

@Papa L

you get:

@Papa L

Which looks fine when you're editing a comment, but contracts down to @Papa L again when you save the comment, and weirdly strips out the %20L from within the quotes when you click on the hyperlink.

In an ideal world you'd've thought Vanilla would've prohibited usernames with spaces if they weren't going to cater for them. Perhaps a sign that in this as in so many other ways the world is less than ideal...

Cheery thought for the day!
