• 152 Tollington Park (George) rents flats, try that one.
  • 07970461255 call this number they rent flats
  • Thank you. I'll give them a ring.
• If it's not a registered agency I wouldn't go anywhere near it! Don't let yourself in for another heap of problems Stella.
  • If honest, I'd rather go with a private landlord, this one was a really nasty exception, but his son was lovely. Will have to see.
• I found this flat through an agent but the landlady manages it privately. Just pays a fee to the agent to do the search, vetting and importantly the contract then takes over herself. I'd say that's the ideal, apparently lots of landlords do that as it saves them doing the stressful stuff.
  • I don't trust agents; they want the easy money--at least those I've dealt with. Unfortunately, it's rather difficult to find landlords who let without having them involved. Last time I 'almost' had a flat, the landlord seemed super laid back, but then sort of asked me out for a drink.

Err, no, man, I just want a flat.

• Gut feeling. I should have listened to mine when I was offered this flat. Normally, I am quite lucky, but you never know how the neighbours are until you've been in for a while.

I can not understand how anyone could not fall in love with my big lizard. He's a comedian.
• goodness.. do sympathise having been through same thing.
hope things are looking up for you.

  • Yeah, it isn't funny. If someone knock at my door and said they're distressed because of me, I'd tiptoe around my flat. But that's just me.
• Been to the CAB office today, regarding the bullying and hassling of my landlord, but they're useless. I really don't know what to do anymore. There's no help for tenants who are herrassed or verbally abused by their landlords, is there?

I have a feeling that Islington Law Centre can't do anything either. I have an appointment with them in two weeks' time, but they already said something like 'oh, seems like we're not able to help you.'

I could cry. What the fuck is wrong with those people?
As long as you've documented everything, time and dates etc. they should be able to do something. Make sure you take your tenancy agreement and proof of rent payments with you too.

Really sorry to hear nothing has improved.

If you are not already think it may be advisable to only communicate with your landlord in writing and, and make sure you have a witness present during any verbal conversations.

Need not be put in confrontational terms since he has attempted to accuse you of being the bully in the past. • Eh? He didn't accuse me of being a bully. I accused him, and that rightly so. I've spoken to Shelter after the very meager advice CAB gave me. They've given me some numbers which I'll approach on Monday. Shelter also said that if he continues this behaviour I have a right to prosecute him.
My worry is that he's threatened to come round early next week, but I'll not be in. I'm worried he's going to enter my flat and do something to Zorro. I know he's not allowed, but I can hardly do something about it when I'm not there, can I? Apart from trying to lay some sort of trap, but even that wouldn't hold to be any proof unless it's a webcam.
They keep hassling me, threatening me to send me a notice (with no reason) and, on the other hand, don't do anything about the leak in the bathroom.
CAB's rather stupid advice was: just ignore them. SO helpful! Not. I never call him, and always communicate in writing, for I'd like to keep a record of what's been said, but last week his wife came hassling me when I headed off to the post office. And, for the fear of them entering my flat, I threw my plans overboard and quickly headed home again to make sure they don't have access, snooping around.
I think if he stands in front of my door next week, I'll call the police. I'm stressed out over all this and it's not healthy.
• I'm going to talk to Tenancy Relation Service on Monday, then try to get an appointment. My asthma has got worse, mainly due to stress and, most possibly, due to mold. I'm meant to concentrate on my business, but am quite frankly beside myself. This is a serious matter and I'm fed up with that guy getting away with this.
• I will, but they're probably not available weekends, are they? I just want to put a stop to this. I don't trust this guy and don't know what he's capable of.
• As if he cared. When we had the pest control in I gave my keys to the guys downstairs. Who opened for the man? My previous landlord's girlfriend, who hassled me on behalf my landlord. Can't stand that girl either. I never gave her permission to enter my flat.
