Launching a separate thread on this to promote more positive discussion. Have diagnosed self as likely suffering winter S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder), but think have found a solution - treating with morning light therapy - it's working! Remarkable. So here I am again positive & forward-thinking & elf-friendly.
This is important to me, interested to know if others have experienced this or got any other solutions. They say around 5% of the population suffers from S.A.D.

I've used daylight bulbs for about twenty years, art shops have always stocked them.
I have a Lumie brand one, but I think Phillips do a better looking version and have been emailing me about 50% off recently.
One of the selling points was that it has a music linked coloured disco light mode - this has been used once.
