  • oh no - that's my christmas presents plan quite undone. I do, however, quite see your point Krappy.  It made life wonderfully simple for me - but at your expense in terms of time and energy. I know I could buy a 5 litre tin and bottle it myself and …
  • sounds good to me.  But what time is it?  your post says .15pm.
  • This is wonderful.  But how do you remember all this stuff - or do you have some sort of archive.l  I ask because I can't remember shops which used to be there a week after they've been replaced.
  • Your olive oil solves most of my Christmas present problems  -  please carry on.  Given the ;amount I want, it may take me a few trips to collect (I don't drive), but well worth it.
  • And, Monday to Wednesday before 5 pm, it's only £4.00 for oldies. They don't seem to be promoting this on their site, you only find out when you click to buy tickets.

  • Hide any shoes well inside your house. I've had two pairs taken from the kitchen, which leads out to the garden. And have also found others' odd shoes left in the garden. Am told this is not uncommon. Doesn't seem to be the material (leather one…

  • oh yes, please sausage rolls. I get the impression that they might be open to suggestions - I know that they source directly from France, but I might ask about some English cheeses as well.

  • Fresh toulouse and merguez sausages, french salamis and cooked ham. Can't remember seeing anything else meaty but that's no guarantee that there isn't more.

  • Cheeses are - and should be - good, because the chap in charge of them at the Deli previously worked at La Fromagerie. Also cheaper than there, and wonderfully less snooty.

  • Seconded. Just had some to accompany celeriac soup. Scrumptious. (coeur de neufchatel if anyone needs to know the real name)

  • V.g. pasta - but £14.00 for a (generous) bowl of the stuff seems a bit steep. And the prices in the restaurant seemed to be rather more than on their website.
  • I'm told by someone who knows about these things that it is an almond, and last year even had some almonds on it.

  • Am off to Fabrizio's again later this week but what a dilemma.  I want to confirm to myself that their pizzas are as good as I think they are (and v happy that Brodiej and others agree)  but also want to try the rest of their menu and their specials…
  • Yes, they deliver.  Telephone no. 020 7272 7358. You don't need to go through Just East who presumably take a percentage.  Went past there tonight at just after 9p.m. and it looked empty.  I can't understand it when other SGR eateries seem to be (fa…
  • Went last night for the first time.  Thin, crispy base with just the right amount of v.g. topping; best pizza I've had in a very long time.  Will go back to try non-pizza offerings if it's still there - there were only two other people there at 8.30…
  • Just had my first e mono kebab.  Completely delicious (and such good value), reconverted me to takeaway kebabs.  Might even risk a doner/shawarma from there. Hope it won't become an addiction but can see the temptation.
  • What is this thread about???
  • Pricing in charity shops is particularly tricky.  There is a duty to the donors to get the best price for their often beloved objects, a duty to the local community to provide fairly priced goods which they can afford and a duty to the charity to ra…
  • I've been following this site for ages but this is the first time I've posted.  A bookshop in Stroud Green - brill.  And if you need staff, I'm your woman.  But no one has mentioned the brilliant Oxfam bookshop (and record shop) in Crouch End. I sho…
