I used to be a regular at Ukulele Wednesdays at the George in town, and so I am on various uke mailing lists.... I've never been to this one, but some of you might be interested: the next jam for London Ukeing is at the Lion, Stoke Newington is 8pm …
They *should* be more accurate. However, there were strips monitoring the traffic on Hanley Road in March this year. I noticed one of the strips was detached from the fixing, and was lying parallel with the kerb rather than across the width of the…
There was a proposal to move the 210 bus stop further down Hanley Road, away from SGR at the end of last year. The A5 photocopied note was popped through just before Christmas and consultation closed on something like 6 Jan.

The family who used to run the Sunshine Cafe now run the cafe by the zebra crossing, top of Crouch End Hill. Awesome food and friendly service awaits you there.
Their fresh produce is labelled if it's organic, and priced accordingly!
I've bought some veg (not organic) from there over the last few days, it's great. Very happy to have a greengrocer back at this end of SGR.
We got takeaway pizza from La Favourita today, their pizzas are massive 18"ers, with the discount (till the 15th) very good value, but flavourwise I only rate it as 'Ok'. No where near as tasty as pappagone / la Porchetta.
Tickets are being released every day... This morning there were £20 tickets for the Opening Ceremony...

Check out Stationers Park on Mayfield Road. They've just revamped the top section with a new version of the wooden fort. It's fantastic. Muddy though, so wellies are advisable.
@Val, have a look at the Roberts solar DAB. We've had ours for 3 years and it's solid. It is on every single day, runs for weeks on a full charge as it lives on the window sills - constantly topping up on free power from the sun.

If you are genuinely keen, maybe you don't order booze? and share a starter? Season is WELL worth the money, so please don't start hammering on about the cost.

If you want to learn to play an instrument, take up the ukulele!
Ukulele playing is a breeze, with a few chords you'll be up and running... and the learning and practice is driven by how eeeeeaasy and fun it is to play....
I don't know when the judging would take place, but Wray Crescent Festival springs to mind... that's usually end of June, although I am not sure if that is the height of the growing season, it might be a little early in the year?
This Saturday

You'll pick up loads of good, cheap toys there!
I know what you mean, regards improving the look of Tollington Park. I love what Vitor has done with the exterior of his new salon.
He has worked his magic with the black exterior paintwork. I'd never noticed the building before, and now it rea…
I notice CM Upholstery is up for sale (top of SGR, near Sainsburys) although probably not quite the right sort of thing...?
Just thought I'd mention it as it comes with a nice shop window to show off his wares (like Bagpuss and his friends used to …
Good luck Vitor with your new venture! Not that you've ever cut my hair, but I hope it's a success. You have some hillarious customers. I for one have really enjoyed TT's posts.
