Hanley Road PCT are terrible. They were pretty good when we first registered 4 and a bit years ago, seem to be falling over now though. Maximum 10 minute appointments, often with a locum who just taps details into a computer while barely looking at …
Having waited for phone calls which never appeared for literally years I finally got some redress from Virgin Media via twitter. Worth a go, @virginmedia for those who want to try it.
I also alerted them to the existence of this thread.
They've done that to me before, the old book an engineer appointment then cancel it without telling you routine.
They never, ever call anyone back. Systematic corporate lying, plain and simple.
I also get outages every Friday evening from about 7pm, usually comes back after an hour or two but very annoying nonetheless.
I sometimes call customer services, register a complaint and am promised a call back by a supervisor. The call never come…
I found these guys online which looks pretty ideal
www.bristolbikesheds.co.uk
I've also confirmed they operate in London, more details via the email reply I received below:
We certainly do service London and would be
happy to come and have a loo…
I've got the same issue and have been looking at the Bike Vault as a possibility.

Not cheap and quite small but perhaps more stylish than some of the external alternatives.
I'm also considering the lock and cover appr…
I'm with you Andy, VERY excited!
There are lots of Dutch volunteers from their Olympic House at Ally Pally in the area. Think they must be staying at the B&Bs on Seven Sisters Road, load of them in The Twelve Pins on Saturday night.
I go to Morefit too and am trained by Dan. Would definitely recommend, work you hard & smart & certainly get results. Like the fact that they're not in a big gym too.
Give it a go.
I'd certainly be a fan of a decent wine shop in Stroud Green, would be a great addition. Agree with the comments that it would have to have the right look & feel about it though to be a success.
Thanks for the feedback so far people, please keep it coming!
Will definitely take a closer look at Ashmount, the new premises will be nice and local to us too.
My son will start school in summer of next year so need to start getting my head round this whole school thing!
Any update on the contributions above, as well as any other views on local primary schools, would be very welcome. Has anyone applied to…
Huge fan of Vagabonds, great coffee, even better hot chocolate, nice atmosphere and friendly people.
My only gripe is that it's a bit too small, not much they can do about that to be fair although tables outside will help.
Please not a "Sports Bar". And I really like sports. Would much rather have a Starbucks.
That location needs a cafe or restaurant which can make good use of the tables outside, got quite a unique location in the amount of pavement space it has avai…
Try the nursery service at John Lewis. It's free, they'll take you round their baby department and spend a good couple of hours going through the options on everything you could possibly need (and much you don't....) for your new baby. Then if you d…
Sounds interesting, I look forward to checking it out in person.
How long before the first complaint that as it's not targetting the homeless the name's misleading???
There is a fantasic olive oil stall on Broadway Market which might be worth trying.
If you'd prefer to stick to Stroud Green would it qualify as "Arts & Crafts" at the Sugar Lounge? I'd buy some too, so get a pitch there and advertise on here.…
Tip for anyone having problems with Virgin.
Having ignored at least half a dozen requests to speak to somone about my greivances, a representative finally called me back once they'd received notice I was about to move my phone service. Funny that.
…
@Misscara even if they are "just" different varieties they are very, VERY different (you've obviously never sampled a Tesco home brand quiche???) and much, much better.
As for being fooled, ain't me who thinks they must lovelingly bake everythin…
The milk wasn't particularly fresh either.
@kreuzkav BBM is a name, a brand, whatever, I really don't think it's meant to be taken literally. Very interested to hear your views on 'Cats'....
BBM is a great addition to the area, it is a bit dif…
I've had regular outages on TV and broadband every Saturday evening for several weeks.
They ignored me for a while, then arranged an engineer which they cancelled without notice, then finally did send round an engineer who claimed he'd fixed it …
I also knew the person being referred to here who was stabbed and killed 4 years ago, still deeply shocking to think about even now.
There is a Family Peace Walk being held to mark the anniversary, taking place this Saturday, 25th July from St Me…
I'm more of a lies, damn lies and statistics man myself Arkady.
As for common sense, I'm sure a man like your can find all sorts of evidence that criminals are attracted by opportunity if you need it to satisfy yourself that it's not just...errr.…
A feeling based on personal experience and observation Arkady, not just Stroud Green though, seen similar trends in other areas such as Clapham and West Hampstead. But no firm stats, would be difficult given they'd have to be cross referenced agains…
I would suggest Arkady that there's a phase in the cycle, as an area becomes wealthier, that certain types of crime increase. Makes sense if you think about, no one worth robbing here 20-30 years ago, in the last 10 however opportunities have certai…
