I lived on Birnam Road in a shared house for 5 years and moved from the area recently.
It's a mixed bag really. There are a few loons on the road, a few shared houses with younger people, some families, some dodgy types. Personally, having had a b…
More good news.

Well, I'm moving out of the area in a few weeks and I shan't be missing it. 5 years here and I've grown tired of police tape and scumbags.
I popped in the other day and had the med breakfast. It was nice but a bit odd for my tastes in parts. I don't usually eat salad and olives with breakfast. Still, most of the elements were good and I'd go back as it makes a change from a standard…
"Yes, wealth is created, but only by the few and at the expense of the many. This has been exacerbated cruelly by the financial crisis. You see expensive 4x4s with blacked out windows cruising down London's increasingly pot-holed streets."
Sounds…
"I do hope people go out and support your local business tonight! Have a pint in the pub, eat out or get a takeaway, buy something from your local newsagent or grocer/butcher/etc..."
I'll be going down the gym after that lot too. ;)
Just been to see Shah the dentist who was a bit worried his business may have been in jeopardy on Monday night. He was talking about the fire at the back of the Tesco.
If anyone can pick out the scallies who did this, then please shop them.

There was a large group of people outside on my street until the early hours. They were just sat around talking. I get the impression they knew the victim. Very sad.
Well said Andy.
It is also beyond me how these kids fail to see the bigger picture. I grew up on a council estate and managed to do it; I didn't have a broadband Internet connection at my disposal either.
I've just spent the last half hour watching some local gangs rap videos on youtube. Some of these guys can actually rap well! The comments are insightful in a way too.
Big up Da Beauvoir Town Man Dem. Brap.
Papa L. Exactly what I was thinking.
Last time I was in York half of it was underwater and there was a distinct smell of poo. Still didn't smell as bad as Seven Sisters Road though.
I've witnessed loads of incidents in London involving pedestrians who have strayed into or crossed a cycle lane and cyclists who appear to intentionally charge them just to make a point. It's pathetic and gives competent cyclists a bad rep.
I went in the other day and spoke to the owner about a bike I am trying to put together. Nice chap and very helpful.
There was a nice foldaway bike in there and several beastly looking road/TT bikes.
