Front Room has warmth and character, I reckon, even if their food can be a bit hit and miss (more hit than miss IMHO but I have been there a few times when they've run out of spinach - bah).
They're not in the area (at all) but CB Motors on Hoop Lane in Golders Green are *brilliant* and come complete with old-fashioned service (they call me ma'am! Ma'am!) and their prices seem to be OK. Worth the drive.
@Lj1978 @misscara - Poor both of you and your chums. Both experiences sound bloody horrible. Hope Sugar Lounge have suitably apologetic and explanatory answers for you.
I went to Integrated Body Dynamic last night for a deep tissue massage. Happy times. They're really good! There's a special on therapeutic massages this month as well apparently. I'm going again. Thumbs up!
I think it's just delivery although I may be wrong - it's in Crouch Hill. They do a pizza called Kermit's Nightmare which makes me a bit sad but otherwise - all good!
I once went to Toni and Guy in Golders Green and the hairdresser (who looked like a WWF wrestler) said to me: "Let's make you look like Cindy Crawford then."
I thought this was stupid and patronising. I didn't *ask* to look like Cindy Crawford, a…
Thanks for this, DonnaW. I have just emailed them for some advice about which massage to have and hope to go next week. I'll report back. Hopefully I will feel blissful like butter on a hot crumpet :D
@Arkady At FP station yesterday there was a man dressed as Superman (including fake muscles) and another man in a weird red costume which I couldn't work out collecting money for children. They were saying stuff like "won't somebody think of the chi…
By the Brothers (where's their apostrophe?) Supermarket and near the slag shops. The house has a massive England flag in the bottom window. Because of the lack of windows you can sometimes get a good view inside the house when you walk past - I've s…
I was in there for lunch this Sunday and asked the owner what the score is. He said it's just time to move on and he wants to get out of London. He and the other staff in there are very sweet. Food's a tad pricey though - £14 for a veggie main cours…
Hiya - as the one who started this thread I can happily say that I now have a cleaner and she is wonderful. I think she is fully booked up but I'm happy to pass on her number to you - it might be worth asking if she can squeeze you in. This site is …
Hi Kelly-Marie
I popped into C&D a couple of months ago and told the bloke there that I wanted my hair blow dried curly. He said he couldn't do it as he didn't have the right brush! I thought this was really stupid and got my hair curled some…
Just went to Finsbury Park for a snow-laden walk - lovely! Very busy with hooded youngsters trying to ice the crap out of each other, but apart from that most picturesque.
@ andy - LOL touche!
I've never eaten fondue. I've melted cheese on a jacket potato though.
I'm going to have to try a Bladerunner pancake but am putting it off as long as possible.
@ unaesthetic - no, they only had one mouthful each and sent it back. The evidence was there for all to experience! The chef warmed it up but most grudgingly. His wife (?) is lovely but he needs to learn customer service.
Is the wi-fi fixed then?…
I went to Sugar Lounge for a drink on Sat night (after a birthday pizza at La P - yay). It's quite good in there albeit a tad pricey for the N postcode. Didn't sample the food but will be going back there to do so. I was struck by how strange it was…
