'Fun' run

I'll be running the 10k in Finsbary Park next Sunday for Cancer Research. Never done anything like this before - even in school I was useless at cross country and that was 20 years ago. Been have been running round the park and up the parkland walk a few times recently though so looking forward to it now. Anyone other StroudGreen.orgers doing it?

Not me, but very good luck with it. (Great cause, too). I keep vaguely thinking about doing a half-marathon, but I haven't got past the 'vague thinking' stage for a while.

I did a 5 mile fun run in Finsbury Park a few years back, and "fun" isn't high on the list of adjectives I'd use to describe it. Good luck though.

Thanks and yes, I fear you'll be right jandb. I remember my English teacher from school giving fun run as an example when he was teaching us what an oxymoron was.
