It's one of my favourite films ever, though the ever-increasing size of Bowie’s crotch-pouch throughout it never fails to discombobulate me. In some scenes it looks a little like he’s hiding ‘the babe’ in his breeches.
No it doesn’t surprise me that you love it. I would have been surprised if you didn’t.
You remind me of the babe
What babe?
The babe with the power
What power?
The power of voodoo
Who do?
You do
Do what?
Remind me of the babe!
Dylanesque in its poeticism.
My daughter had a Kigu recently. I think it was a penguin or something. I was going to put it on but unfortunately she took it away to college. I would definitely have considered wearing that to the pub.
I bought a marvellous pumpkin carving set (with stencils for those with no imagination) for just one English pound in Camden Sainsburys today. Not sure if they have them in SG branch.
Any news of other local Hallowe'en events?
Old Dairy's party, see you there. I'll definitely be dressed up - whether my pals are or not. Looking forward to seeing the outfits, yours sounds like a winner!
I had a look in Paks but couldn't find the right thing for my costume, they were all too 'real'.
I trotted off to Angels and had a simply marvellous time rummaging around until I found one that was just the ticket.
Angels is beyond fabulous, I want to live in there. You have to venture out of SG but it's well worth it. The shop is on the Shaftesbury Avenue/Charing Cross Road crossroads and they also have a wondrous website.

I once answered the door to some kids on hallowe'en and they said 'trick or treat'. I didn't have anything to give them so I said 'trick'. They said 'close the door'. I did, and they wrote PRICK on it in spraypaint.
After having spent years looking for a decent Halloween party in London, I have found my ideal place to spend not only Halloween by every Saturday of the year www.feelinggloomy.com
You can buy a wristband for a few quid more that also gives access to www.clubdefromage.com which is another favourite for me, as I love fancy dress parties!
Seriously though, I hate clubbing but these two places are ace.

they are wonderfully warm so help keep the heating bills down when winter arrives. Answering the door to the postman can be problematic however.
