Is the yellow car wash and fruit stall area due to be redeveloped? Surely there must be plans for that section of the road? Counting down the days until the new entrance opens and I don't have to walk under that depressing bridge every day.
I hope that car wash gets closed down. So many times I've seen the cars half out of the car wash and half on the pavement, still being washed, forcing pedestrians to walk in the cycle lane and cyclists into the road. Islington council is too spineless to do anything about it. And every night when the car wash closes, they leave dirt and rubbish that has been hosed onto the pavement.
Can I use the Seven Sisters road entrance in the morning? Thought it was closed during rush hour? If it's open in the mornings I'll definitely start going that way.
I am not sure if anyone has noticed change in the sequencing of the bi-directional wide ticket gates at Finsbury Park. The timing on which the yellow light is on does not always correlate with the flow of people through the station. This leads to frustration of passengers as some people keep putting their oyster cards on the yellow reader when the light is red rather than wait it for it go yellow.
This is really comming along and certainly has presence, dominates the area. I was wondering what use the old PO sorting office will eventually have, nice old building right next to the development
I didn't bother, insignificant, a GPS cable and window sucker, but cost me ten quid and some inconvenience to replace. Not the sort of thing you expect anyone to nick really. Desperate, eh?
Block C – Long linear Block 1st Phase –Wells Terrace end - Autumn 2019 Podium - *Access to Finsbury Park London underground Station – Late Autumn 2019* Block C – long linear block - 2nd Phase Goodwin street end – Winter 2020 Block B – Cylindrical Tower – Handover - Winter 2020 Block D – Longitudinal Block along wells terrace/ shop frontage- Winter 2020 Block A – Rectangular tower – Late Spring 2020
- they then corrected to say that access to the station via Goodwin Street would be earlier - in April 2019, with Wells Terrace open in the Autumn. Seems that they've rowed back on that now. I've been requesting updates from the developer for a while, but they're not replying.
The lifts are there. You can see them from the interchange between Vic & Picc lines - look left as you head to Picc line at the bottom of the stairs by the info office.
Considering they let the developer get away with shutting the Wells Terrace entrance for so long, causing problems for locals to help it save money, it's pretty disgraceful it's now delayed.

Those new buildings look like they will be a miserable to live in.
They also make this statement
The lift shafts have been built and the new lifts will be installed and open to the public at the end of 2018
Don't think that has happened ?
The dates that I was given a year ago were:
Block C – Long linear Block 1st Phase –Wells Terrace end - Autumn 2019

Block C – long linear block - 2nd Phase Goodwin street end – Winter 2020

Edit - "weeks rather than months" according to that article.
