Slightly closer to home, Shamata Cafe Bar on Green Lanes will be putting tacos & quesadillas on the menu - and apparently they're very good. Not sure if this link will work but: pic.twitter.com/mqnkaz40pY is a quesadilla from lunchtime today (pic credit: Liz Ixer).
@Detritus That'd be Lupita's, next to Charing Cross, or Mestizo just up from Warren Street tube. Mestizo do Sunday brunches from 12-4pm for £19.99 but it was a bit disappointing last time I went (compared to the previous time, when it was amazing). They also do Taco Thursdays and occasional speciality food festivals.

And that's about it, it seems. Here's a comprehensive list, but... meh. http://www.nickster.com/mexilondon/list.htm
@vetski My mother insists on being taken to Busaba when she's in the country, and it's a great place to go before or after seeing a show at ROH. But it's very distracting, if you get the table in front of the window, watching people come and go through the stage door - or the crowd outside it swelling after a show... !
Benito's Hat has gone way downhill - I used to love the way they seasoned their meat, but the quality went downhill and the portions became microscopic. Tortilla are usually - but not always - more generous, but the beef tastes a bit icky.
I'm half-Mexican so a bit obsessed with Mexican food, but the London offerings apart from Lupita and Mestizo are pretty grim.
Then there's Wahaca, which is aimed at making Mexican food more accessible, so it blends English flavours with traditional dishes. It's funny-tasting to me, but some friends love it. The guacamole is very good.

Going back to Thai Food...has anybody tried Rosa's? They have a place near Spitalfields, one in Soho and on in Westfield? Just curious...

I have always wanted to try Busaba!

I have eaten at Rosa's in Spitalfields on a few occasions. It's very decent food but didn't get me all too excited. Maybe a bit of a similar experience in that respect to Cats. The location is nice, though, just a short walk to Rough Trade. From Cats you have to sit on the bus to get to Flashback, and that's only second hand.
Charuwans in Archway, on Junction Rd on the right a little further down from St Johns is really good, but haven' t been for a while as my love of sushi has taken over a little.

I love chicken satay, fish cakes, pad Thai and Penang curry. must get some actually, so tasty!
Rosa's in Soho is pretty good but not amazing.

Busaba used to be excellent - I worked near two of them and would eat there fairly often. After Alan Yau sold out it went quite significantly downhill. Things like replacing butternut with pumpkin in the curry (as it's cheaper), etc - clearly focusing more on cost than quality. The salt and pepper squid is excellent though.
