I don't know the details of St Anne's, but I do know that the whole Falkirk business collapsed in a manner making it look suspiciously like an anti-union smear campaign. Yes, clearly there was tension and skulduggery between different wings of the party, but none of them's entirely free of that.
What! How can they announce this. I went to the Council consultation last week and no concerts can be booked for longer than one day until final meeting on December 16th. Completely outragous
Bros had one great single, and one of them has gone on to be one of Guillermo del Toro's go-to ensemble of actors. Neither of these things will ever be true of the Arctic Monkeys, who - being essentially Northern Uproar meets The Others, sub-Oasis meets sub-Libertines - remain one of the most damning indictments of modern indie's general pointlessness.
ADGS, that's how I feel about Arctic Monkeys, the lyrics have a bit of potential from time to time but I've always thought they were overrated.
Mind you, I also think David Bowie is overrated.

Bowie from 1967 to 1980 was the nazz with god given ...and Let's Dance is a good r n b record. After that it's not so good. Heathen was probably the best modern album.
Cheers folks. I have a screen print of a tweet from Haringey Labour that says 'No residents views are being ignored, there's a consultation, as you know'
In my opinion, the consultation was geared up as a box ticking exercise with no real question that said 'do you want this yes/no'
I spoke to the door to door Labour campaigners last week and they conceded that as they were doing their rounds, a lot of residents were voicing their concerns about the proposal.
With the elections in 2014, they'd be silly to annoy so many voters.
Going back to the wireless festival, I am confused. Next years wireless festival is already scheduled to be in the Olympic Park. http://www.skiddle.com/festivals/wireless-festival/travel.html
So do we think live nation maybe has a different event in mind?
The following line is from a letter about LiveNation/Wireless sent to councillors in October by Haringey's Licensing Manager:<div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic; line-height: 21.59375px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Should their license application be successful they are proposing to make use of it on 4-6</span><sup style="font-size: 1em; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-style: italic; line-height: 21.59375px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); position: static !important;">th<span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic; line-height: 21.59375px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> July 2014 to host the festival.</span></div>

'Winter Frostival ' event now proposed in FP for next year. Hope not like the MK one!!
Could be good if Rowans shuts. It says 'German (yuk) market and woodland theme park experience with Frosty the Snowman and his Ice People' . (Intriguing you have to admit Arkady....)Boating lake to be frozen (how?) plus many 'chilled' rides and sausage grills. ' it does bring a lot if money in for locals but often these places are pricy crime magnets and burger bars in disguise with rave music.
I think a one year trial would be enough. Hope the Cll listen.

The deed is done. Apparently the council have pushed this plan through. Now let's see which large areas of our Park will be out of bounds throughout the year.
I am pleased I don't live very near the Park!
