A betaversion of the Stroud Green Cycling Club forum is ready.

I can change the themes and was wondering if anyone is good at logo creating/graphic design? Would be nice if we had our own logo to show on the forum. I though green is cool, Stroud Green and cycling is green too.
http://stroudgreencycles.freeforums.org/index.php
Would be perfect, Andy. Thank you.

Sutent, looking forward to our ride tomorrow. The bike looks smashing and you'll be green with envy. lol
Oh, we're sticky now. Thanks, Andy.

Sutent and I went for a nice ride today (approx. 16 miles). I had my difficulties to keep up with him, especially on slight inclines; always had a feeling I may be the slowest regular cyclist, but hey, it's not a race.
I was, but it doesn't matter. I had fun. And I have a destination for my next ride: Epping Forest to meet my friend, the one with the horses. If anyone would want to come ... Not sure when I'll go as the weather needs to be nice for that. Not keen on cycling four/five hours in the rain.
Lovely day for a ride today. Cold enough to take my breath away, but really bright and fresh. Also the perfect opportunity to test out my new merino base layer Christmas present
It was wonderful, wasn't it? Where did you go? I went towards Lea Valley, along the canal to the Velodrome and Westfield, then got utterly lost as London's signage is the worst ever for someone like me. Ended up asking a lot of people, then back Homerton err, High Street, Hackney, Dalston. Solid 3.5 hours of cycling. I wish the weather stayed like this until February, then become warmer again.
I definitely didn't cycle for that long! I went to Stoke Newington for lunch (about 3.5 miles) then added an extra two miles to my journey home by going along the River Lee for a bit. It was lovely. The plan is to go to Epping Forest today.
I lived with my Nan in Highams Park for a bit when I was little. Was blissful growing up near the forest. If you want to go a bit further try Hainault Forest too. They were once all one forest.
Sounds wonderful. My friend has her two horses there, so it would be a great opportunity for me to go and meet her, maybe swap the bike for a horse for an hour, then come back. If I can walk, that is. Last time, I couldn't walk for two weeks. lol
Okay, I'll note down the 13/14th. If anyone wants to join ... For the bike ride, not the horses.
Would be a great first ride for the club.
I went to the Butlers Retreat, which is right next to Queen Lizzie's hunting lodge, for lunch. A short five miles each way, in the rain. But I loved it.

I've just booked myself onto the London to Cambridge ride, so I really do need to get out and increase my distances
So glad to hear that, Idoru. I see you're becoming a real enthusiast. Love it. When is the ride and where can one sign up? Maybe you could post a link?
Thank you. Why that particular bike? Please go and test ride such a bike first. Don't just buy online. It's easy to fall in love with a bike you see, particularly when it's on sale, but you need to sit on it before making a decision. Not wanting to sound patronising, just warning in case you haven't considered.

Micycle Ferme Park Rd. sell Bianchis so you may be able to try one your size, or London Fields, I'm sure they have them, too.

The ride: all riders are required to wear a helmet ...
