Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters sashaying down Essex Rd. A pal of mine spotted him singing on the staircase of the Royal Opera House with Kylie the other day too. If he'd actually recognised Kylie at the time it would have been even better.
Alan Davies is a right wanker. When I worked in a bar on Upper Street he used to stroll in with his girlfriend thinking he was god's gift and then rip up papers on the table while looking smug. The only other customers who acted like this were Islington Yummy Mummies who felt it was their right to let their children have free range and rip up the sugars and they never tipped. He never said thanks. His girlfriend wasn't even good looking. Wanker! Sean Hughes ain't much better. My ex-gf had a go at him for his homophobia about Marc Almond on Never Mind the Buzzcocks ten years ago. The usual joke about drinking spunk. Lowest common .... He thinks he's alternative but likes to be Mr Lad Homophobe when it suits him. Sean Homophobe Hughes Wanker.
@stapletontavern
Is it really company policy to name members of the showbiz herd enjoying off-duty moments? Seems a poor response to their custom. Fair game?
Keep em coming Stapleton! Its not like you're reporting them doing a line of coke in the bogs. If a minor celeb pops out for a drink, i think they might be accustomed to people passing comment on it. Perhaps they even like it. <div><br></div><div>@Gardener-joe. I take the point, but given this thread is 13 pages long, it would suggest that people like to hear about it even if you might question the ethics of a business doing it.</div><div><br></div><div>My biggest disappointment with the Stapletons post was that for 0.8 seconds i thought it said Scarlett Johansson.</div>
I saw Scarlett Johansson in a Cards Galore near Oxford Circus once. She was wearing a black mac, thick black glasses and a black trilby. It was so clearly a disguise on a small blonde woman.
The absolutely lovely Mr Bates from Downton Abbey on my no.4 bus from Angel this evening. Had to channel my inner Dowager Countess to avoid making a show of myself.
@Stapletontavern, @gardenerjoe@brodiej, @mirandola, @miss annie<br><br>Scarlett Alice Johnson is truly one of ours - Stroud Green born and bred and she went to Stroud Green primary and Highgate Wood schools. Like the other Scarlett has been acting since she was 10 or so, I expect they're used to each other. I remember seeing SAJ on US TV when I was there last year - a comedy - don't remember film's title.<br>
Either I saw Dead Or Alive's Pete Burns outside one of the SGR caffs yesterday, or there are two people on Earth who look and sound like him, which seems improbable. <br>
