Ooh. I went to Season the other day. They told me about Gilly's (they're giving away raffle tickets to get a free gift of some sort if you go to Gilly's in its opening week) but didn't mention this.
Horse's mouth. I'm liking the Victorian brick they are unveiling under the cement (yes cement) that it had been encased in. Inside is apparently pretty much done, but repairs to the outside have made things slip slightly.
The sign outside former-Gilly's mentions kebabs, for sure.
I can confirm that the food here is really good though. Season-esque excellent and reasonable wine list too. But @tosscat made it there before me, the bastard, so I'll let him do the talking.
Cheese and cold cuts boards and small plates on the menu. Small plates split into meat, fish and veg sections.
Highlights: really delicious prawns (can't remember exactly how described so we'll stick with delicious); beef shin croquetas (really good); mini vegetable selection (wasn't described like this but it gives you the idea); cured mackerel (mmmm); realise I am listing nearly everything we had, which is a good thing I guess.
Disappointments: it was opening night so a couple of things were unavailable (local charcuterie board and polenta chips).
Pudding was good, although another unavailable item was the chocolate charcuterie (no idea either!).
Chef is an alumnus of Alain Ducasse. Staff really pleasant.
Went last night, really good, will definitely go back. Quite small small plates but well above average. House wine £18, no outdoor space that went to the flats apparently.
Comments
btw - the old Gilly's site is set to become a branch of German Doner Kebab I heard.

@Ilovegreyhounds Gilly's is moving to the West End.

I think it's going to be my closest place.
Anyone had a look in?

A very welcome addition to the Upper East Side.
They also had Max of Max's Sandwich shop pissed off his tits on negronis, but I'm guessing that not guaranteed every night.
They are keeping shy on social media et al
They need to get something in the internet though
MIND's wildlife garden is incredible. One of the biggest insect hotels I've seen.
