I have just remembered that I went to Calico Ghost Town (a former gold rush colony) as well, west of LA, it is like a totally bonkers geography field trip.
My first time in SF, 20 years ago, The Castro area was edgy to say the least. The last time, six years ago, it was poshing itself up. Still a thriving LGBT scene but not as dicey as it was.
Thanks tosscat. A tasting menu council be just the trick after the Town Hall ceremony, though the missus might prefer a more salubrious neighbourhood on that day.
I saw them working on this place earlier, only two little tables and a massive counter / oven I thought it was going to be a burger joint / bar hybrid.
