  • Jewel's on Victoria Road ( just by the railway bridge ) is good.
  • This year's race is open for entries http://www.ymcahornsey.org/modules/funrun/
  • There have been quite a few threads on doctors already. Here, here and here. I'd particularly recommend the Clockhouse surgery on Park Road in Crouch End - they're brilliant.
  • Went snorkelling from a boat from Seahouses to the Farne Islands as part of a dive trip and was completely surrounded by very inquisitive seals. Incredible experience.
  • Idlis are my favourite - rice and ural dal fermented and steamed. Fond memories.
  • Scooter, helmet and gloves all purchased and she's commuting now on the bike. Thanks for all your help.
  • I liked the "Sunday Roast" lamb but saw they now have a spinning elephant's foot so it's a no-go for me.
  • I've been ( with a 12 month old ) and it's quite pleasant. For crawlers there's a soft floor and toys and for older ones there are craft sessions.
  • Did anybody go?
  • She's bought a 2007 Dylan and will pick it up on Monday. Thanks for the tips on helmets, we've got to pick up the rest of the gear up Saturday. Once again SG.org comes up trumps.
  • Thanks for the tips. We've found a couple on Gumtree and are going to investigate ( a Honda Dylan and a Vespa ET4 )
  • The thing that annoys me most about Google Maps is that they put Stapleton Hall Road ( and probably all of the Haringey side of SG ) in Tottenham.
  • It's been a long time since a thread on kebabs.... I'd back that up. Had a lamb doner wrap - it was lovely. Staff as Simon says were very friendly.

  • I was surprised by the timing tag - I thought before the race that it was a gimmick but the end of the race was far more organised this year rather than last year. Max came in in 54 mins.
  • I did the run and enjoyed it (especially the doughnut). The main pity about the weather was that there weren't as many people supporting. Ran near the nun for a while, there was a mass nun run recently My goal this year was to beat an hour ( which…
  • Slightly OOSG, a review of the Roti Stop in Stamford Hill by Giles Coren
  • I've reported the Crouch Hill graffiti to Islington.

  • I've objected as well - my kids' bedroom will get the brunt of the noise. 4am is absolutely ridiculous for this area.
  • And page 59 of the document above. PS Is edit comments working? It takes me to starting a discussion.

  • It looks like step free access will be delivered in 2021! Look at page 46 on this doc http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/corporate/tfl-investment-programme-london-underground.pdf

  • Here is a comment on the TFL website saying that they aren't going to provide step free access for Finsbury Park ( and Archway and Highbury & Islington ). He must have something against this area. Also the brochure for what they originally plann…

  • We had a floor fitted by Jordan Andrews in CE. They did a very good job, finishing was excellent and pleasant chaps to deal with. Quote was reasonable as well.
  • Jack's beer selection is brilliant. A couple of casualties on Crouch Hill - Rose restaurant on our side and a clothes shop ("Under Grace"?) on CE side.
  • This was the previous thread on GPs
  • Comet should be liable for the loss. My card number was used fraudulently once ( it was a business card that never left the house and very rarely used ) for Next directory (£1300) and Air Jamaica. I was refunded for the loss immediately - Next and …
  • After going to Vietnam, I fell in love with the food and used to make regular trips to Kingsland Road ( Song Que ) but also post two children that happens less often. I was put off by the Hanoi caff marketing healthy food. Vietnamese food is good b…
  • I'll just add that I think this place is fantastic too. The "main man" was very welcoming and helpful with a pram ( it was lunchtime ) and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Definitely better quality and cheaper than the Japan Centre.
  • If you have a limited company, that can contribute £243 towards childcare costs ( it must be to an accredited organisation, paid direct and paid each month - you can't backdate it ) That helps ( slightly ) for the fees for our sons excellent nurse…
  • I love it in the Simpsons when Homer claims to have discovered a meal between breakfast and brunch There have been quite a few comments in other discussions saying that the Italian in CE is a bit hit and miss.
