  • Does anyone have the skill set, and of course time, to put together a formal proposal and costings? That has to be the next step in order to have a chance of getting this done!Would the council accept/approve a private funded initiative?
  • Gets my support and I'd be happy to help if I can.We need a ballpark total cost figure. Not my area of expertise at all, anyone else?Once we've got that, and depending on the amount, how about crowd funding?
  • This was really good, glad I went and thank you for bringing it to our attention Arkady.Green Party candidate was very impressive himself, not so sure about their policies. UKIP man was out of his depth albeit passionate and actually seemed a nice e…
  • Nice review of Fabrica, sounds good.I liked Mezbhan too, had my first ever Finsbury Park meal there on first moving to the area in 1999 (a naan chicken-tikka wrap, loved those things!). Nothing lasts for ever though, someone will no doubt correct me…

  • This place is great. While the infamous 5 dollar shake may or may not have been worth 5 dollars, the £7 sandwich is definitely worth £7!Do give it a go.
  • The Pocket Money Loans things is brilliant and an Art Gallery on Stroud Green Road will be amazing. My Dad grew up in the area in the 50s, not sure which he'd find more unbelievable!Very best of luck to both of ya!
  • Closing the gate, along with severely restricting access along that entire side of the park, is the lesser of two evils. The alternative is that thousands upon thousands of concert-goers trawl through Stroud Green, but with all the gates closed they…
  • Ben Hume-Wright from Tollignton plumbers is excellent.http://tollington.co/plumbing.html
  • I popped in on Saturday and have to say I quite enjoyed it. Their meatball sandwich is excellent as was the lemon polenta cake. Coffee very good too. We did buy some bread to take away though which wasn't great, neither was the service (teething pro…
  • Looks quite something Becky, good luck and I'll do my very best to get along and support.
  • Huge shock last night to discover that Dinner Box/Dinner Express have put their prices up by around 25% across the board! Food was decent enough but for that money we could probably have eaten at Season! They've lost this once loyal customer. 25% of …
  • The technology around Bitcoin also provides the tantalizing possibility of our own, Stroud Green branded digital currency.... Stroudcoin anyone?
  • @Jim:https://www.zipzapinc.com/ Scroll to bottom and enter an N4 postcode to see which shops in Stroud Green are selling Bitcoins. There are a ferw business in London which accept Bitcoins, my favourite of which is a pub! http://www.individualpubs.c…
  • Great food and I'd be there a lot more often if they didn't wait until 2pm to start the lunch menu! Bit odd that.
  • I'm really keen to join in something like this in the new year, got a great bike I never use so this could be just the kick up the @#$% I need. Please keep me informed!
  • Both the store and the produce look great but perhaps need to work on their service. I've only been in twice but each time they seemed to have members of staff just hanging around and making no attempt to help anyone. Struck me as a little odd for a…
  • I heard them too also assumed it was Eid related. 4am though!

  • Educating children. How awful!
  • I read that Giles Coren review at the time and thought sounds amazing, I must go there. And now it's come to me! I may go there tonight, good spot.
  • I've been going to Morefit for 2 years now, had two trainers after the first one moved back to Oz. It's not really a "Customer Service" kind of place, far, far more informal and friendly than that and, as the comments in this thread suggest, much mo…
  • Rub opens tomorrow....
  • My company Coreco have also sponsored a seat plus we feature on the Founders Board in the foyer. Great to be involved in such a fantastic local initiative.

  • Like the look of that new Italian restaurant. Hopefully it'll be along the lines of 500 in Archway.
  • We need as many good schools in the area, and indeed the country, as we can get. Educate our children and do it well, very well. The rest is just petty politics and semantics.
  • First few minutes on Finsbury Park and "The Guv'nors of Seven Sisters Road" are well worth watching. Great line- "It was amazing I managed to escape from Finsbury Park"!

  • Even though I live on Evershot Rd and you'd expect a nearby garage to be annoying, I'd also heartily recommend Ali and the boys because they thoroughly deserve it. Great guys.
  • What's going on with this Forchetta place? Anyone any idea when/if it's going to open?

  • Hanley Road PCT are terrible. They were pretty good when we first registered 4 and a bit years ago, seem to be falling over now though. Maximum 10 minute appointments, often with a locum who just taps details into a computer while barely looking at …
  • Interesting to note Finsbury Park is a low crime area too, 9% below the London average anyway.
  • I once saw a Mujac deer on the Parkland Walk on an early evening run several years ago. So yes, can vouch for it albeit with just the one sighting in 15 years of living in and around Stroud Green.
