I'm struggling with that drawing. On the left are those the manky buildings between Station Place and Seven Sisters Road? Those they are planning to keep?

And as others have mentioned, what's with those horrible concrete framed buildings? Surely they could come up with something just a little less harmful to the environment than masses of concrete? They look just like what is going up on the John Jones site and that's looking pretty rough at the moment, although I'm crossing my fingers that it will improve as it nears completion.

And another thing! Take away those coloured awnings which either won't ever exist or will be covered in moss and bird poop after the first winter and it's just going to be a really dull, dreary concrete hell hole. And a wind tunnel by the looks of that plan.

I am no fan of the bright, boxy new builds to, Hale Village is a good example very cheap and shoddy materials . I was living on the the river at Stonebridge when they were being constructed, they were falling apart in places before occupied.
Still feel like crying everytime i walk past the monstrosities on SHR where the little coal houses were.
Re the rumours about the ‘SGR Tesco's to Tollington Park section’.

Are we talking about the hideous block that contains Tesco itself, or the rather nicer decorative brick block that runs from Christopher Charles to Chez Liline?
Not sure who, the lady in the newsagents told me, but 'discussions' about developing on that stretch have taken place between the chap who owns it and unspecified persons.
I cannot contain my excitement at losing a corner shop, a deli, a flower shop, a taxi firm, a general store, a bookies, a Post Office, a newspaper shop, a fish shop and a kebab shop and gaining a Tesco superstore. SAY NO TO TESCO!
Good to see everyone is jumping to huge assumptions.... For a start I'd be amazed if a Tesco any larger than the current one got planning permission (it defintely wouldn't be given additional parking spaces), secondly it would not be approriate to reduce the number of shops. If this is site is to be developed it is far more likely it will add additional shops along SGR with the Tesco expanding out the back, and then putting 5-8 storey of residential above.

It may be a good thing... remove the oppressive building and improve delivery access.
There's a massive Tesco at Seven Sisters I could see it on SGR. I don't want it but I don't doubt that it could happen.
People are always moaning about Tesco but have said on this forum that they don't choose to use our local shops. Tesco are savvy, they'll go where the cash is. Lots more punters moving in imminently, higher house prices so plenty of well off residents, captive audience who are scared of independent food shops. Perfect market for Tesco.
A big Tesco is being planned . See website earlier. And to be honest it could be good ( that cab/flower shop/post office stretch is terrible) but parking would be difficult. A multi storey is the only option and I would be against that .
