Actress and singer, who won the BBC One talent contest, How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?
On 15 November 2006, she opened to excellent reviews in the part of Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music in the West End, London on a six-month contract, which was extended until February 23 2008, when Connie made her final appearance as Maria Von Trapp
I was walking past the chip shop on Tollington Park and looked in and saw Aiden Gillen from Queer as Folk looking out, he was wearing a white vest and low slung jeans and walked out holding the hand of a young boy (his son). Does he live in SG? I havent seen him before.
I was in the fish shop looking out and a smiling guy walked past who I thought was my friend and I grinned at him and then I realised it was Alan Carr without his glasses.
I read in and interview recently that he lived in Crouch End borders!
Paolo Hewitt a.k.a the Cappuccino Kid, walking down Crouch End Hill. Looking typically mod-like (natty white plimsolls, old school bag) and ordering something on his mobile phone. Possibly checking out the area for his next biography "Dr Legg, the W3 and me".
I work in that twatty world that is Soho and yesterday, as i popped out to lunch i saw Mike Leigh (yay!) and then two seconds later..... Ziggy! Two ends of the cultural spectrum obsverved in quick succession made me smile, for at least 37 seconds. And then i bought a sandwich.
@ Bridget - a few months ago we saw Aiden Gillen cycling up SGR. I only saw the back of his head so I was a bit sceptical but my boyfriend insisted it had definitely been him. I guess it was!
@katiejane - I fear it may be a big brother person. But as I approve of the "don't mention BB" line being pursued on another thread I'll say no more.
My wife was convinced she saw Ant or Dec yesterday evening coming out of the pound shop on SGR near Chez Liline's. I was sceptical but pass it on just in case.
I know exactly where she lives on account of one morning when she ran out of her house to catch me as I walked in the door to our (last) flats asking if, by chance, the postman had posted her airline tickets through our letter box by mistake. I can confirm it's off Crouch Hill.
Right, well, I had a very excited phonecall from my chap yesterday, telling me that he had just seen MICHAEL PALIN get off the bus at the bus station and start walking up SGR. Can anyone think of any way in which this could have been the case? It seems unlikely but I thought that when he told me he'd seen Aiden Gillen on SGR, and that turned out to be proved with fact...Exciting thought tho, eh.
I once served Michael Palin and Terry Jones in a pub in Sydenham Hill. Terry Jones was fairly regular in there and lived locally, but Michael Palin only came in that once. They both had Youngs Ordinary and Ready Salted McCoys.

Pretty sure I saw Grant Nicholas yet again in CE. Wish I was being stalked by someone talented.

Aiden Gillen must be a local then! I love him, I shall keep my eyes peeled in future.
