Calling all train geeks - Help Needed. This may have been covered here previously but… can anybody recommend a good 'narrow gauge'(?)/child friendly railway within/near London that will be suitable for (train obsessed) toddlers?<div>I know there is one down in Dungeness but this is perhaps a tad too far away, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.</div>
<span class="Apple-style-span">Special thanks to Misscara, Poxy & Arkady for your </span>interesting & <span class="Apple-style-span">very much appreciated suggestions.<div>The planned outing will not be until early spring, so winter closure should not be an issue. The possibility of both monkies & trains sounds too good to be true, we shall see. Thanks again. </div></span>
The Ruislip one is next to the lido and some pleasant woodland walks.<div><br></div><div>Anyway, does anyone have today's Ham & High, and does it contain a story about FP station?</div>
is this not just the City North development for the ticket hall and replacing Rowans for the picture which is shown along with a lot of artistic licence
Pfff. Terrible, ill-informed article that could have been written any time in the last six years, illustrated with an almost totally irrelevant picture.<br><br>
<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">There is a thread for City North, but is there one for the station redevelopment plans? The only thing they have in common with City North is the new concourse. I thought there was, but I can't find an open one.</font>
Maybe, but I can't find it. I think we used to use the 'FP station corridor' thread, which was a bit specific.<div><br></div><div>Content to go with the majority, but you can't have trains without railway infrastructure!</div><div><br></div><div>I can see your train garden pic up above.</div>
I have been reliably informed that TfL and the City North developer are working on putting together a planning application for the new Western entrance for Finsbury Park. No idea of timescales.<br><br>Also, the Finsbury Park SPD is likely to be adopted after the local elections now.<br>
