Thanks @gardener-joe but I really need cardboard boxes that can be flattened.
Thanks @stapletontavern - I will pop in (and try not to get distracted by the Blue Moon!)
@harpistic. I have and I already got one lot off there. They seem to be in great demand at the moment and I have missed out on a lot, so thought it might be worth a try on a more personal forum. I am keeping a close eye on Freecycle too!
Yes, Birnham is definitely quieter than Tollington traffic-wise and in general I really like being at this side of FP / SG with Holloway a short walk away, and the tube, plus busses on Holloway Road, Hornsey Road and Seven Sisters Road.
Best of luck…

Personally I am not keen on Birnham Road. I live on Tollington Park very near Birnham Road and the feel of the two roads is very different. There are sometimes groups of young men hanging around the entrance to the estate. They are not necessaril…
Has anyone on the Islington side had a notice about the proposed substation at 107 - 129 Seven Sisters Road? (near junction with Hornsey Rd). I am not sure what to make of it.
I just fear I am going to be frequently going through the hassle of appealing parking tickets because the traffic wardens don't check properly. I had my 'epermit' for 3 weeks before I was ticketed, so the systems should have been updated. Hopefull…
@ashman - would you consider doing organic carrots? I generally can't afford organic for everything but only buy organic carrots. I am a bit fan of your shop!
I was pleased to see the Blue Moon served with the proper slice of orange when I bought a pint last week. Lots of places that do it in the UK don't seem to bother with the orange.
Thanks Andy. It had become rather offputting and I have always enjoyed using the site very much. I stopped going to the WLM when I observed a regular turn over a table and throw a glass at his wife and the manager just told him to 'pipe down' then…
I'm
pretty disappointed with Dr Kahn (Mr Shah's replacement). On my first visit she
asked if I wanted an NHS scale and polish or a 'proper' scale and polish for
£35. Mr Shah's scale and polish was always very thorough so I asked for the NHS

Thanks Mirandola. My cat enjoys munching on flowers, so I have to be very careful about what I buy. She seems to especially enjoy roses. I enjoyed reading about the underground pool of Hornsey Road on your blog.
@woolly I am surprised by your description of Tollington Park. I have lived both at The Hornsey Road end and in the middle and I loved it! Both flats were set back a bit from the road but I never noticed the traffic. It only seemed to get really …
Are paper bags (like used in the US) not an option? I like to take plastic bags from shops because I have a special bin that fits them, so they are re-used in that way.
I've just been tipped off that Tescos on SGR are selling special Halloween Andrex! I will be making a special visit to get some this afternoon.
Sadly I am going to miss all the fun in SG this year as I am fulfilling an ambition of visiting the W…
Thank you for arranging Misscara. It was a very good course. I hope I never have to use the skills learned, but feel confident that I could do if called upon.
@slats - it's true. Despite being from the north I had never sampled the delights of an oatcake until I spotted some reduced in Tesco a couple of months back. I am now hopelessly addicted.
