Thanks @conformable_kate yes, Hornsey Road is certainly much much cheaper than SGR so will keep an eye on it. And thanks to @Ali I've since found Furniture To Go is indeed up for let and that's a great suggestion. Thanks @Soon is that Wing Wah? That…
yeah, work is underway. don't want to say too much or steal their thunder but it's a couple of local guys and will be a great little restaurant. can't wait!
Thanks @trainspotter it's a great suggestion - would love something there but I know the guys who are going to be doing something cool food based with that space soon.
Would that be in the one which is now Atom Gallery? If so then I was interested in that but just found out it is going to become a Clapton Craft. But if not then I'll head down there and try and find out which shop that might be... Thanks again for …
Thanks miss annie - you're right. I do know the area having lived here for 20 years - but am just curious to know if people know of anything that might be coming available or little pockets of workshops/units to rent that I haven't noticed before. …
Went this evening for the first time and very impressed. Was packed, even at 7.30. Good food and drinks, reasonable prices, classy decor and very friendly and attentive service. Now definitely one of my favourite local places to eat.
Thanks
Misscara, but I’m not interested naming and shaming or tracking him down, I am
just asking to see if anyone has any similar experience. If it’s something he
does regularly then I think he needs to get some help.
We’ve all met
people wh…
Just to say I used Marek in the end and he did a great job at short notice and at a very fair price. Would recommend him to others who need computer help.
Hey Caro, I think you're right to be as honest as possible about the kind of person you think would work well for your property. We have a similar situation at home and always found the more detail you put into an ad, the more likely you are to find…
I just wanted to second Donna's comments from Aug 17th too. We had exactly the same experience having lived in the area since 1998 and loved the area then, sharing a flat with mates just after leaving college. And now, 14 years later, life is very di…
Hello. I’m on
Cornwall too. A
couple of guys with a clipboard and a big van came on Monday and took away a
load of the new green wheelie bins as yagamuffin mentions. I went out and asked
one of them what was going on and he said that the council…
Don't mean to reopen any old wounds, but anyone else been experiencing reduced broadband speeds over the last 24 hours? I'm paying through the nose for the 50mB service but only getting about 3, sometimes less than 1 (normally get about 35). Really …
Our son has been going to Rainbow for a year now. It's really is a fantastic nursey and the staff are wonderfull. I can't say enough good things about it. Our youngest will go there next year too.
We previously used the Asquith nursey behind Upper …
I heard the following this morning from a friend "Apparently there was a gang of about 50 around Finsbury Park station yesterday. But all the shops on Stroud Green Road put their shutters down and the police were there so it didn’t develop. They d…
Very nearly mown down by mini-cab driver while pushing my one year old across in a pushchair last week. Very very scary. He screeched to a halt just in time and when I told him he might want to slow down a bit he shouted back 'Fuck you, I gave way d…
I'm not sure why we're assuming everyone who might use this facility will drive there. Where I play football virtually no one ever drives there. They go after work on the tube or bus or maybe cycle.
Also, on the money issue, it's usually about £3 …
I think generally this is a great idea.
I've lived in this area for years and have always played 5-a-side but have to travel to Enfield and Battersea Park to get a pitch. Sounds like there are other people also want to play but find it hard to get …
I really like Stuart Lee, very underrated, but I know he definitely lived in Stoke Newington fairly recently... just off Church Street opposite the fire station. But maybe he moved up in the world and made the break to N4. I like his slow-burning, g…
I see Kevin Keegan is now the bookies favourite to replace, err, Kevin Keegan. I would love to hear what he thinks about that while refering to himself in the third person. Can you imagine...?
Thanks and yes, I fear you'll be right jandb. I remember my English teacher from school giving fun run as an example when he was teaching us what an oxymoron was.
Senderos is a good guy and does a great job - he's there to remind everyone how great the rest of the players are... Wenger previously used Pascal Cygan and before him Igor Stepanovs for the same purpose. Can't imagine any of those 3 selling many sh…
