• Incidentally these include three Stroud Green road shop-front restorations under a new part-funding scheme. They affect the hardware store, Jack's off-licence, and Steve's newsagent. Pretty good.

• Are we loosing the florist on SGR?
• Don't think so, just the minicab office.
• There is a florist cafe in Broadway market and I am sure another one in Hackney. Lets see what we get here
• The Tower Building's an interesting one. Seen some old pictures of it that someone put up on the ouside of the building a while ago and can't wait to see it restored.
• We have the florist hairdressers - Chaps & Dames
• It's a local landmark, and will look even better now. The new story they are putting on it is very like the lighthouse building in King's Cross - in fact the whole redevelopment is reminiscent of that. Bravo.
• I am not sure how both these florists will survive. I have decided not to buy flowers for people due to the potential health hazards. Pollen allergy, as well as potential bee and wasp stings could make someone unwell.
• Cut flowers are utterly dreadful for the environment. I grow the missus flowers instead.

Well OK sometimes she makes me buy her flowers, but mostly I grow them, mostly.

•
I prefer a fruit basket to flowers.

I like flowers that smell, but not lillies and it's almost impossible to find cut flowers that do. My favourites, wallflowers and bluebells, die the second you cut them. I've never heard of anyone being stung because of a bunch of flowers.

• Stings at home are more common than you think. They get attracted to the pollen and then cant get out of the house and become angry.
• I don't buy meat because wolves are attracted to the meat and they can't get out again and get angry. Being attacked by wolves in your own home is more common than you think.
• But aren't the bees more attracted to the flowers outside in the garden? When bees drift in I just shoo them out, it's not that hard. Wolves trickier of course.
