  • I used Tree Amigos and they were very good.
  • Vitor has always cut and coloured my hair. I've always found him to be very friendly and professional. Kelly-Marie once cut my hair and it was done well but unfortunately everybody at work thought it needed washing and asked me what I'd done to my h…
  • I had the day off so went along and was glad I did. I had the main and it was really nice. The food was really good and a bargain at 3 courses for £4 including tea. It was full when I arrived so I shared a table. If I have another day off on a Frida…
  • Thanks for this Andy. It's given me a chance to see what everyone has to say about Stroud Green.
  • http://www.hackneycollieryband.co.uk/ I saw this band at the Jazz Cafe this week and they were brilliant. They started off their set by walking through the crowd while playing Justin Timberlake!
  • I attended both the bazaar and concert. Both were great and I was lucky enough to buy a load of plates off Bruce Kent and win a hamper. The concert was very good especially the second half and yes, it was a bonus to have a 10 minute walk home too.
  • I've had Vitor cut and colour my hair and he's always done a really good job. Kelly Marie did it once and although it was nice, most people at work asked me what I'd done to my hair! So Vitor is always the one for me.
  • Look out for a Cat Stevens look-a-like who has a hobby of knicking your bag. I've never gone in there since!
  • There's a bike shop on Seven Sisters Road which is pretty good. Not far from Whadcoat Road? Otherwise there's one at the top of Crouch Hill I think and one off the Holloway Road, Cycle Surgery.

  • Here's the details. Graffiti and flyposting The council is committed to tackling graffiti and fly posting. Like vandalism, this is an anti-social problem. Please help us to stamp it out by reporting any incidents of graffiti and fly-posting…

  • We recently bought the freehold for 2 flats within a converted Victorian house. The landlord was absent and we'd never met them or paid the ground rent. Regardless of the landlord being absent we ended up having to pay £27k between the two flats…
  • I just see the song thrushes and firecrest and someone peeing by the Art/Drum Club! Mind you, the other day I saw a guy pee outside the cafe on the corner of Stroud Green Road/Tollington and it was cold..
  • I've objected too. It is a conservation area and we need to protect the character and history of the area.
  • I have 3 sheets of 4 vouchers for 2 hour visits (8 hours per sheet) if you're interested?
  • I hate jazz too but quite like Shattered Dreams by Johnny Hates Jazz. I wish Hanoi Grill was opening too.
  • Like football, I'm too scared to say anything for fear I'll jink them. Fingers crossed.
  • That was the guy who was robbing from women between 40 and 74 a few months ago. I'm presuming this other guy hasn't been caught.
  • Ignore what I said. That woman must have been describing the 2006 incident.
  • The girl was shot around 7.30pm outside Finsbury Park Station. Nothing is showing up on any websites or tv.
  • I heard a girl on the W3 say there was a double shooting at Upper Street around 6.45 by a guy and then a girl in her 20's was shot in the back at Finsbury Park station. Something similar happened in 2006. The guy hasn't been caught and the station i…
  • Thanks for that Shaun. This old granny is enjoying watching the early flights. They are very close to the area.... Makes it almost bearable watching....
  • Plusnet are very good and have won the 2007 award for best provider. We've had no problems with them and if I recommend you then you get a £10 or £20 off your bill and so do we....
  • I always have about 10 in the garden. Mind you, I've got three feeders and a bird bath. We have the sparrows as regular visitors along with starlings, wood pigeons, collared doves, the occasional goldfinch, jay, robin, wren, blue and great tits but …

  • I did go into home the other day with the intention to buy something but came away empty handed. The penguin mugs have gone as have a lot of the candle holders, glasses and body lotions etc. The stock left there isn't particularly attractive. The la…
  • What's left of it is Whadcoat Street and the bunk is supposed to be where Haden Court is.
  • The trees are normally cut down when they cause subsidence to the surrounding houses. Before we moved in, a tree had to be removed as it had caused damage. We now have a new one after about 3 years.
  • Not great on the customer service. I had a large moth in a bag of spinach that survived the fridge and then my putting it in a pan. Took it outside. A snail though, that's quite unusual.
  • Yes, I noticed it yesterday as well. I thought a bird box and then saw the toaster. Lovely trendy house for the birds of the parkland walk.

  • I'm going to see it this weekend and hopefully I'll see if our garden is in it or not. The driving instructor was very close...... I'm glad there's lots of sightings of Stroud Green. The film has had very good reviews.
  • I don't know the number but it's the one on the corner of Lorne Road and Florence and it has an overgrown garden with a toilet in the front. A book by the Hornsey Historical Society called Edwin Monk's "Memories of Hornsey" mentions Victoria College…
